You know good art when you see it, and you know good design when you feel it - but can you recognize good writing well enough to make it? In addition to laying out your book, we can also write your rules, ensuring that all your hard work is communicated effectively to the player. We’ve written the rulebooks for nearly two dozen clients’ games.

Since we play your game during intake and develop the tools used to play it throughout the design process, we’re often the people who know your game the best, second only to you the designer. This puts us in a unique position to leverage that deep knowledge and connect the rules text and graphics in a holistic way, ensuring your players’ first game is as seamless as possible.
Our Process
We start with a specific session with you designed to put the game through its paces and understand the current state of the rules. From there, we create a draft text document for you to review for accuracy, which we continue to revise under your guidance to ensure that we internalize any changes or clarifications. From there, we load the approved text into professional design software and build out diagrams and examples. Just like the rest of our work, you’ll have access to the rules throughout the process and can test them with your own trusted group to ensure that we’re on the right track.
